Conner - Lead Singer
Jack
Conner hails from Detroit Michigan. He is part of a very large
and musical family they would have sing off contests for fun.
Through High School and College he sang in various groups honing
his vocal style. Jack moved to Las Vegas in 1984 where he entered
the gaming field and is currently a supervisor and back up asst.

a coworker (Jack Harmon) kicked around an idea of starting a band,
people joked what are you going to call it " The 2 Jacks
Band " hence the name. From humble beginnings in his garage
in 2000 to opening for Michael McDonald at the convention center
in 2007, what a great journey it has been.
Jack Jewell, Drummer
Jack
Jewell "cut his teeth" in the Texas Blue and Rock and
Roll scene beginning at the age of 13 moving to Northern California
at age 16. During the 25 years in both Northern and Southern California
he honed his funk and rhythm and blues drumming playing with bands
all over the western United States. Moving to the Las Vegas Valley
in 1998 joining forces with the Two Jacks; Jack has been providing
the funk "heartbeat" with a sprinkling of background
and lead vocals in venues throughout the valley. When not driving
the Two Jack's back-beat Jack is a SCUBA Instructor and likes
to spend time hiking and camping.
Ted
Champaign - Keyboards and Vocals.
Transplanted
from the San Francisco Bay area to Las Vegas about 10 years ago.
Ted has been playing the violin since the 1st grade. He picked
up a guitar in 1964 after seeing the Beatles on TV and working
in the music field is all he has ever wanted to do since. After
doing a 10-year stint with the Phone Co. and moonlighting as a
Sound Engineer in San Francisco at night he started his own sound
reinforcement company in the late 70's. Ted also played bass in
notable local bands Family Wolf and T & Co. He perfected his
skills as a Front of House, Monitor, Recording and audio for Television
Engineer over many years of major shows and acts. Ted has worked
with some of the biggest names in entertainment as a Sound Engineer.
Everyone from Slayer, Motorhead, Jefferson Starship, Malo to Debbie
Reynolds, Tony Bennet, late Woody Herman and Victor Borge. Toured
as the front of house engineer with the touring production of
Evita. Ted plays keyboards (synth sampler), guitar, bass, violin,
viola, banjo, harmonica and does vocals. He loves all kinds of
music and would be comfortable playing anything from Reggae to
New Country and everything in between. Before joining the 2 Jacks
Band he played keys with the XFL Football League, Las Vegas Outlaws
band where he could be seen at all home games at Boyd Stadium
and weekly on local NBC affiliate KVBC 3 with sportscaster Mitch
Roberts and the Las Vegas Outlaws televised pre-game show. He
engineered, mixed and produced the 2 Jacks Band's latest CD and
hopes to help further the band's recording career with more CD'
in the future. Ted lives here in Las Vegas with his wife Carol
who is a licensed Realtor with Century 21 Express (who is a very
talented pianist in her own right). They love to camp, canoe,
snowshoe, and snorkeling buy/sell vintage music gear on eBay and
visit their property in Kane County, UT.

Art Ebert
/ Lead Guitarist
The
newest member of "The 2 Jacks Band' is from New York / Philadelphia
where he played with one of the top bands on The East Coast, "The
Big Edsel Band" www.bigedsel.com
He played guitar for various artists including Jackie Wilson,
The Shirelles, and The Coasters. Art also served as Musical Director
for Charlie Thomas & The Drifters playing several major concerts
all over the country, including television appearances at The
Apollo Theater in NYC. During a road tour with Todd Rundgren in
the 80's, Art was asked to do some studio work at Todd's studio
in Woodstock, NY.
Art has been performing a "Jimmy Buffett Tribute", Reggae,
and Island Jazz, for the past few years in PA, NJ, MD, AZ, and
Las Vegas, at The Bahama Breeze, a national restaurant chain that
features an atmosphere of the islands with the unique sounds and
flavors of the Caribbean. Art replaced original founding member
Jack Harmon, who left due to medical reasons. Art is very proud
to be playing with "The 2 Jacks Band" in the Entertainment
Capital of the World, Las Vegas, Nevada
Steve
Schect
Steve
Schect was born and raised in Sandusky, Ohio. He entered the U.S.
Marine Corps in 1975. Attended the Navy School of Music in Virginia
Beach, VA where he studied, practiced and learned to play lots
of styles of music. Upon graduation from the Navy School of Music,
Steve was assigned to play in the U. S. Marine Corps Band in Quantico,
VA. After leaving the Marine Corps he moved to Las Vegas where
he has played with several notable bands in the local music scene
before joining The Two Jacks Band's horn section on Trombone,
Percussion and Vocals.
Mark
Anderson
Mark has played bass for over 20 years. He has been
in rock, latin and jazz bands from Seattle to Europe and in between.
He has been with the 2 Jacks since 2000.
Russell Burt
Russell was born and raised in the southeast Los
Angeles area. He began his music career at age 11 on clarinet.
Throughout the 80's he played in any and every musical situation
that would have him. From garage rock and jazz bands to classical
ensembles and theater productions. From 86 to 88 Russ was co-leader
of the Fullerton College Lemon St. Stompers dixie band which placed
second in the 1987 Southern Comfort National Collegiate Dixieland
Competition. After a brief stay in Santa Cruz Russ moved to Las
Vegas in 1989 to attend UNLV. While there he manned the jazz tenor
chair in the UNLV Jazz Ensemble which was voted Best Collegiate
Jazz Band at the Nat'l. Association of Jazz Educators (NAJE) convention
in 1990. Music and travel opportunities sidelined Russ' education
and he spent much of the 90's touring the U.S., Canada, Japan
and the high seas. Back in Vegas he was a member of the popular
funk band Home Cookin'. (see Wikipedia: Home Cookin') Over the
years Russ has had the pleasure of performing alongside artists
such as: Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, the 5th Dimension,
the Coasters, the Platters, Marty Allen & Steve Rossi, Jerry
Van Dyke, Frank Gorshin, Bowser from Shanana, Maynard Ferguson,
Wayne Newton, Trent Carlini, and countless Elvis'. Russ has always
enjoyed the challenge of learning and performing a variety of
music styles. Along with the 2Jacks Band, he can be seen performing
with Marlon Martin's Latin Band, Chuck E. Bumps (rockabilly/swing),
Marshall Law (blues/classic rock), and various large and small
jazz ensembles in and around Vegas. Russ has also recently returned
to school to pursue his degree in music education.
